‘Super’ kids end program creatively

Mortlake Library

The last session of the library’s holiday program.

A GROUP of Mortlake children told their own tales of superheroes and villains during the last session of the library’s holiday program.

Loop Studio art teacher Ella Webb helped the kids create their own city skyline and their own personal signal.

She said it was a fun way to get them to make up their own stories.

“They create cool stories to elaborate on their artworks,” Ms Webb said.

“It gets conversations happening.”

Mortlake librarian Jackie Elliot thanked all of the parents for supporting the summer holiday program for another year.

“We’ve had fantastic support,” she said.

“The artwork the kids have created has been fantastic.”

Ms Webb hoped next year’s program would be “bigger and better”.
