Locals support annual lunch

Blooming friendships: Members of the Mortlake and district community welcomed spring at the 18th annual Uniting Church Adult Fellowship’s Spring Luncheon.

THE Mortlake Uniting Church was packed to the brim earlier this week, as community members welcomed a new start as part of the 18th annual Uniting Church Adult Fellowship’s (UCAF) Spring Luncheon.

Held on Tuesday, co-organiser Marg Whitson said about 80 people from across the district, including Mortlake, Terang and Warrnambool, attended the event.

“We also got a gathering from Aberlea,” she said.

Get-together: Community members from across the district, including from Mortlake and Warrnambool, attended the annual luncheon.

“It was a good social afternoon.”

Local musician Rosalie Goddard and Noel Burt from Ballarat provided musical entertainment throughout the afternoon.

UCAF member Lyn Harris helped decorate the tables with special boxes holding lollies for each guest and a decorative box awarded to one person per table.

Food and friends: A number of Terang and Noorat community members also attended the luncheon.
