4BBB at Cobden
THIRTY-FOUR players competed in a 4BBB event at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
The A grade winners were A. Jopling and K. Daffy on 48 points, from S. Dawson and M. Hallyburton on 47.
Balls down the line: J. Green and L. Green, C. Sargeant and T. Marks, L. Green and B. Cook, D. Beard and J. Beard.
Nearest the pins: 4th S. Dawson, 7th D. Absalom and 10th S. Dawson.
Thursday is the last IGA chicken run for this season.
A free barbecue will be provided after golf.
This Saturday, April 5, will be the monthly medal (stroke) and putting competition. All welcome.
Twelve players competed in the Doris Chambers Pairs Foursomes competition last week.
The winners on the day were Kate Parlour and Ellen Darcy on 67 points.
The runners-up were Di McKenzie and Carmel Darcey, 71 on countback.
They will go on to play in the Doris Chambers Pairs against other clubs from the west of the state at Taylors Lakes in October (as winners Kate and Ellen chose not to attend).
Nearest the pins: A grade – 4th and 10th Sherine and Chloe Healey; 7th – Ellen Darcy and Kate Parlour, second shot on the 8th – Rhonda Alexander and Jeannine White.
Balls down the line: Marie Smith and Ev Boyd on 71 points.
