Anne proudly continues her Good Friday legacy
COOINDA participant Anne Small has continued her 37-year legacy of proudly raising funds for the Good Friday Appeal.

Ms Small has been involved with fundraising efforts for the Good Friday Appeal for as long as she can remember after herself needing the vital services offered at the Royal Children’s Hospital for brain surgery.
Every year since, she’s taken part in her own fundraising efforts for the Good Friday Appeal – with donations ranging anywhere from the hundreds of dollars through to the thousands.
She has noticed a fluctuation in fundraising over the years as payment options evolve – many people now pay at the checkout with their phones or cards, which results in less cash – and spare change – changing hands.
This has not stopped Ms Small from making a significant difference, however.
This year she raised $639.30.
Much of her efforts having been achieved with the support of her family and peers and staff at Cooinda, who are every year inspired by her selfless dedication to the cause.
“I have been fundraising for a long time, since I was a little girl,” Ms Small said.
“I was about four years old, and I’m 41 years now.
“This year I raised almost $640, which makes me happy.”
Ms Small has now donated the funds she raised for this year’s Good Friday Appeal, and has already begun fundraising for next year.
“Thank you to everyone who donated,” she said.
