Bacchus Marsh too strong
THE Corangamite Lions division one mens’ team had a 3-1 loss to Bacchus Marsh at Scotts Creek on Sunday.
The Scorpions scored a goal in the first minute, with Lions striker Flavien Riviere equalising in the 25th minute.
The goal was Riviere’s seventh of the season.
The visitors scored two early second half goals in the 41st and 50th minute to seal the win.
The Lions have this week off, their next fixture is an away game at Creswick on July 20.
The Lions division one women had a 5-0 loss to Ballarat White.
In the division two men’s game, Bacchus Marsh scored a 4-2 win.
The Lions goals came late, with Tafadzwa Chitava scoring in the 77th minute and Sean Cabugao in the 86th minute after the visitors had earlier opened up a three-nil lead.
In the under 12 game, Corangamite hosted Creswick White, with the visitors scoring a dominant 8-0 win.
