Black belts awarded
STUDENTS from Funakoshi Karate International (Aus) have celebrated the completion of their black belt grading.

Students from the Camperdown and Terang dojos recently completed their grading and took part in a three-day Gasshuku at the Hombu dojo in Warrnambool.
The grading was conducted under the authority of chief instructor and head of style, Shihan Frank McKenzie.
The students demonstrated exceptional skill, discipline and commitment to earn their promotions.
Congratulations to Jaybe Bailey (1st degree junior black belt), Jett Ludeman (1st dan black belt), Jed Peach (2nd dan black belt), Maddison Lillico (2nd dan black belt), Tobi Cole (4th dan black belt) and Jill Cole (5th dan black belt).
These achievements represent years of disciplined training and dedication to the principles of traditional karate.
A significant highlight of this year’s grading was the promotion of Jill Cole Sensei to 5th dan black belt.
This milestone marks entry in the master ranks and recognises an exceptional level of commitment, leadership and lifelong contribution to the art.
