Calls for caution after two crashes
VICTORIA Police have called for drivers to remain vigilant after units responded to two road crashes involving failure to give way over the weekend.

The first crash was in South Purrumbete on Saturday, April 12 at the intersection of Cobden-Stonyford Road and Ansons-Koallah Road at 4pm.
“A driver has failed to give way which led to a collision with a ute towing a trailer with a couple motorbikes on it,” Snr Const Bevan Marr said.
Ambulance Victoria responded to the collision, with two men transported to hospital in a stable condition.
“A man in his 20’s was transported by road in a stable condition to Colac Health after being treated for lower body injuries,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.
“A man in his 40’s was transported by road in a stable condition to Warrnambool Base Hospital after being treated for upper body injuries.”
A separate crash occurred the following day in Ecklin South on Sunday, April 13 at 9.47am.
Snr Const Bevin Marr said two vehicles collided at the intersection of Cobden-Warrnambool Road and Ayresford Road.
“A local farmer believed to be in his 60’s driving a dual cab Toyota Hilux was travelling Terang-bound on Ayresford Road,” he said.
“We believe the driver had stopped and went to cross but failed to give way, which resulted in a collision with a Toyota Camry, driven by a man believed to have been in his 30’s, which was Melbourne bound on Cobden-Warrnambool Road.”
Ambulance Victoria responded for assessment but the drivers avoided injury.
“No emergency treatment or transport was required,” an Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said.
