Cobden airstrip plays critical role
WHEN skyrocketing temperatures and high winds resulted in bushfires making their way across the district, firefighting crews at the Cobden airstrip were put to work.
Loaded up: Cobden State Emergency Service and Country Fire Authority units worked together on one of the hottest days of the summer yet to help fill planes at the Cobden airstrip with water to assist in firefighting efforts.
