Dan demands drought relief
FEDERAL Member for Wannon Dan Tehan has called on the Albanese Government to provide urgent drought relief to impacted farmers in western Victoria.

Mr Tehan said the region was experiencing one of the worst droughts on record, and called for immediate action to ensure the viability of primary producers.
He called on relevant ministers to visit the electorate to see first-hand how dry the landscape was, offering a “personal tour”.
“Farmers are suffering across my electorate because of the drought and that impacts families, local communities, the environment and the economy,” he said.
“This is the worst drought that parts of my electorate have ever experienced.
“The top item on the to-do list for the next Agriculture Minister must be working with the Victorian Government to deliver an urgent package of support for impacted farmers.
“I will give the Prime Minister and the Agriculture Minister a personal tour of the devastation caused by this drought so they can see firsthand the impact it is having on people.
“Any package must include financial support for fodder and water supply as well as mental health support for farmers and families impacted by the drought.”
