A six goal to one opening quarter set the tone for the day in the Demons 15.10.100 to 5.13.43 win.

“We’ve been regularly starting well without making the most of it,” Timboon coach Andrew Hargreaves said.

“So it was pleasing to put six on the board in that first quarter.”

The second term wasn’t as pleasing for the Demons mentor.

“We really didn’t play that well in the second quarter, we kept them in the game.

“They looked confident going in at half time.”

The Demons took control in the second half, kicking six goals to one.

Jack Osborne was rated as Timboon’s best.

“Jack was in his second game back and gave us plenty of drive.

“He’s a great left foot user, a real weapon running out of defence.”

Defenders Jack Hawkes and Lyndon Alsop were also in the best for the Demons.

“Jack and Lyndon were fantastic with their overhead marking and rebounds.

“They get the job done every week.”

Will Moorhouse, Josh Worboys and Martin Angus all kicked three goals for the Demons.

“It was great to have a good spread of players kicking goals, with nine players hitting the scoreboard.”

Timboon’s only injury concern was Will Benallack, Hargreaves saying Timboon had no other injury concerns out of the game.

Heading into the league bye this week, Timboon sit outside the top five on percentage only.

“The bye comes at a great time for us, we’ll take a break then click into gear for a big month when we resume.”
