Eagles galore at Terang
THERE was eagles galore recorded at the Terang Golf Club last weekend.
The eagles weren’t soaring high in the sky but on the greens, with three players scoring eagles on Saturday.
Congratulations to Mitch Wyss who scored his first ever eagle after driving the ball to the green on the par four, second hole before making the eagle with a nice putt.
Next Friday will be the last twilight golf event of the summer season, with daylight savings ending this weekend.
Next week will be stroke (April monthly medal).
Thirty-five players contested the stableford event last Saturday.
The winner of A grade was Leo Beasley (9) 38 points on countback from runner-up Fred Beasley (+2) 38.
B grade was won by Ryley Hutchins (22) 39 points from Terry Coolahan (20) 38.
Down the line: Tom Wright (26) 37, Alex Kenna (31) 37, Nick Kenna (10) 36, Sharee Scanlon (14) 36 and Michael Sergeant (10) 36.
Nearest the pins: 3rd Anthony Mills, 6th Alex Kenna, 8th Anthony Mills and 11th Terry Coolahan.
Eagles – Mitch Wyss on the second, Phil Beasley on the 10th and Fred Beasley on the 14th.
Friday’s twilight nine-hole stableford attracted a field of 12 players.
The winner was Fred Beasley (+2) 21 points from Kerry Clarke (26) 20.
