WARRNAMBOOL Crime Investigation Unit have arrested a 35-year-old Timboon man after discovering an explosive device in his possession.
“Police have arrested a man after locating an explosive device at a residential address in Timboon on Saturday, May 10 about 10.30am,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.
“The Bomb Response Unit attended the scene on Dawson Street and deemed the explosive device to be a live round.
“The device was detonated safely.
“A 35-year-old Timboon man was arrested and interviewed.
“He has been charged with two counts of manufacture explosive substance and other related-offences and remanded into custody, and appeared before the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on May 12.”
