Frogs match rain-affected
ECKLIN’S division one premier cricket match against Irrewarra was abandoned last Saturday due to the weather.
The match had already been shifted to the Lismore Recreation Reserve due to the continuing struggles Ecklin are having with getting their ground up.
This week Ecklin are scheduled to host Woorndoo at Ecklin.
Ecklin’s division two match against Boorcan at Boorcan was also abandoned without a ball being bowled.
This week the division two Frogs will host Cobden at Terang number two.
In division three, Ecklin had a 148 run loss to Pomborneit Gold at the Timboon school oval.
Gold batted first and made 6/219 from its 40 overs.
Patrick Sloane took 2/36 from eight overs, with Murray Ellerton taking 2/29 from six overs for the Frogs.
In reply Ecklin could only manage 71 in 33.1 overs, with captain Tim Carroll top scoring with 13.
This week the division three Frogs play Camperdown.
Ecklin’s women didn’t play last Wednesday, tonight they play Camperdown at Camperdown number two.
The under 13 Frogs will play Thursday night at a venue to be determined against Heytesbury-Princetown.
