Junior netballers progress
CAMPERDOWN College’s junior boys netball side has advanced to the GWR competition after winning last week’s grand final at the HSSSD (Hampden Secondary Schools Division) carnival.
The junior players were standout performers on the day, dominating their competition.
The team was undefeated for the day, including an impressive grand final win.
Their games were filled with dynamic teamwork, defensive pressure and attacking prowess.
The GWR competition will be played in Colac on Wednesday, May 21.
Camperdown College was also represented in both the senior and junior girls football competition.
The junior team took on Mercy Regional College in a single match and while the results didn’t fall their way, all players gave 100 per cent and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The senior girls had a tough schedule, with games against Terang College/Cobden Tech-nical School, Timboon P12 School and Mercy Regional College.
Despite the strong opposition, the girls managed to hit the scoreboard every game and applied pressure all over the ground.
On the netball courts, the senior boys came away with a solid win and pushed hard in their remaining matches, fighting until the final whistle.
The intermediate boys notched up two wins and impressed with their continued improvement during the day, showing perseverance and strong team spirit.
