Kidding Around returns

KIDDING Around Cobden will return for a second year, providing fun activities for youngsters during the school holidays.

The popular event will be held on April 10 at the Cobden Civic Hall – 53-55 Victoria Street – between 10am and 2pm.

One of the event organisers Kathryn Stubbings said she is looking forward to the event.

“It’s going to be fantastic,” she said.

“We’re hoping to attract kids for all around the region.

“We want to provide an activity in the second week of the school holidays.”

Mrs Stubbings said the event, which will cost $5 per child, is geared towards primary school-aged children.

“The children need to be supervised at the event,” she said.

“It’s all about spending time with the littlies – whether it’s parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles – and creating memories.”

There will be a host of activites for attendees to enjoy including face painting, biscuit decorating, dress-ups, fairy floss, craft activities, outdoor games and board games.

Mrs Stubbings said a number of local groups were supporting the event and hosting activities including the 1st Cobden Scout Group completing a digital scavenger hunt and the Cobden Angling Club and Cobden Men’s Shed joining forces to offer a creative fishing activity.

There will also be a barbecue available on the day.
