Long distance runners shine
ATHLETES from Cobden Technical School have performed well at the recent HSSSD interschool cross-country event.

Held in Camperdown under blue skies on Monday, May 12, the event attracted a large field of runners from across the district.
The junior boys and all girls ran a three kilometre course while the under 16-20 boys ran five kilometres.
Congratulations to year 10 student, Riley Beames, who finished first in the under 16 boys’ race and took home the age group champion medallion.
Six students have also qualified to compete at the Greater Western Region course in Warrnambool on Monday, May 26.

BOYS
Under 18-20 – 4th Zac Stevens.
Under 16 – 1st Riley Beames, 8th Marcus Ovens Baird, 11th Mason Mitchell.
Under 15 – 5th Xander Weel, 12th Cooper Daffy, 16th Ethan Duynhoven.
Under 14 – 17th Damian Maguire.
Under 13 – 11th Ryan Bailey, 16th Cooper Beecher.
GIRLS
Under 18-20 – 5th Tabitha Perriss.
Under 16 – 8th Olivia Benson.
