Offenders target copper
CAMPERDOWN Police are appealing for information following a theft from a Bookaar property last week targeting copper products.

Corangamite Senior Sergeant Bill Caldow said on East Hill Road property was broken into on Wednesday, October 1 between 2am and 5am.
“The offenders were clearly focused on copper products as is used around hot water systems and copper piping,” he said.
“It’s a private property – there were other items stolen, but copper was the main target.
“Subsequently, there was a hot water service located on the northern beach of Lake Bullen Merri some days afterwards.
“There has been a spate of copper theft around the Ballarat area, so we certainly don’t want that to become prevalent around here.”
