Rain again affects play
CAMPERDOWN’S round seven Colac-South West premier match against Simpson at SA Wright Oval was washed out without a ball being bowled.
With a bye scheduled for this weekend, the Lakers will now have a wait before returning to action.
In division three, Camperdown travelled to Woorndoo and had a three run loss.
The home team batted first and were all out for 145.
Beau Smith and skipper Daniel Missen took two wickets each.
The Lakers fell agonisingly close in the run chase, making 7/142 from their 40 overs.
Missen top scored with 51 from 61 balls, with Jordan Keast making 23, Nathan Hay 18 and Darren Frith 17 in the loss.
Tomorrow the division three Lakers play Ecklin at Terang number two.
On Wednesday night the Camperdown women lost to Ecklin at Camperdown number two.
Batting first, Camperdown made 5/54 from their 20 overs, Brooke Herbertson top scoring with nine not out.
Ecklin replied with 6/77, with Daisy Courtney, Ella Riches and Jess Courtney taking a wicket each and the team getting three run outs.
This Wednesday the Camperdown women play Nirranda at Nirranda.
Monday night’s under 13 game was washed out, with the under 13 Lakers playing Bookaar at Frederick Street this week.
