Rainfall remains consistent

MARCH saw slightly less than average rainfall over Cobden, with 41.4mm of rain recorded.

This was 6.6mm short of the long-term average calculated over the same period of 48mm.

The highest daily rainfall was recorded on March 27, when 10.2mm of rain hit the ground over Cobden.

Most days recorded no rainfall, however, with only 10 days across the month recording any rain.

This brings the annual total rainfall to March this year to 67.6mm.

This is half the long-term average recorded over the same period, with the average annual total to March recorded at 128.4mm.

The amount is higher than the total recorded rainfall to March in 2025, where only 55.8mm of rain was recorded by this time last year.

This year’s March rainfall was also double what was seen last year, with March 2025 seeing only 20.4mm of rain.
