Stephens in high performance squad
CAMPERDOWN netballer Piper Stephens has been selected for Netball Victoria’s (NV) high performance program, ‘Elevate.’
Earlier this week NV announced the state’s top 25 netballers in both the 19 and under, and 17 and under age groups who have earnt selection in the Elevate program in preparation for the 2026 National Netball Championships.
Over the last two weeks, the top 50 in each age group have trialled and been reduced to squads of 25 who have now been invited to take part in ‘Elevate.’
This program provides athletes with targeted physical preparation before they’re again narrowed down to teams of 12 set to compete at the National Netball Championships next year.
The Victorian state teams will be announced in December.
Elevate prepares athletes with the delivery of holistic skill development, strength and conditioning and court work sessions within a controlled daily training environment, led by pathway coaches set to be announced in the coming weeks.
Stephens was one of three Hampden League players selected in the 17 and under squad - with South Warrnambool’s Ruby McKinley and Sophie Smith also named.
