Strong support for art show

POMBORNEIT Hall’s third annual art show saw strong support from the community over the weekend.

The show, which launched last Friday with a trivia night, saw six teams compete with 50-60 people through the doors across the three days.

Organiser Heidi Barling said the turnout for the art show was “brilliant”.

“It really shows the local community supporting local events, with our committee members doing a lot of work to get the show up and running – it’s a huge thank you to them,” she said.

“A special mention to Susan Boyd because she did a lot of work in organising the artists and the artworks.

“Thank you to the donors for raffle prizes and hampers.”

Pru Liddy’s team took out the win at the trivia night.

Ms Barling said the hall committee is now gearing up for their annual Christmas party, which is set to be held early in December.

“We’ve got our annual Christmas party coming up in December, which we’d welcome any people to come and celebrate the season with us,” she said.

“There’ll be music, kids’ games and entertainment.”
