Success for Timboon ladies
A TEAM of lady golfers from the Timboon club has taken out the Texas Ambrose event at East Framlingham.
The ladies side performed well at the June 11 event to come home with the win.
Congratulations to players Faye Groves, Alison Walsh, Lynne Newton and Vera Convey.
Twenty-two players took part in a stableford round at the Timboon golf course last Saturday.
A grade was won by visitor John Kerr with 37 points, from Tori Ziegelaar on 36 and Craig Saunders with 34.
B grade was won by Barry Cook with 30 points, from Mick Smith and Bryan Ward both on 29.
Donna Weller had the best ladies’ score with 38 points, with Judy Walsh runner-up on 29.
Nearest the pins: 5th and 7th Darryle Beames, 14th Craig Saunders and second shot on the 13th was Bryan Ward.
Thursday’s 12-hole chicken day was won by Jack Rowe from Mick Plozza. Darryle Beames won nearest the pin.
Next Saturday will be stroke monthly medals.
