Swans flightless at Lismore

CARAMUT copped a 164-point belting against second-placed Lismore in the round 11 senior football clash at Lismore.


The Demons dominated all day in their 26.16.172 to 1.2.8 win.

Coach Scott Judd kicked the Swans only goal in the final term.

Best for Caramut were captain Nathan Murphy, Charlie Farrer and Kobi Bidmade.

After this week’s league bye, the next game for Caramut is a home game against Great Western on July 19.

Lismore/Derrinallum also had a big win in the reserves game, 25.12.162 to 2.2.14.

Joe Douglas and Willem Douglas kicked a goal each for Caramut, with Roha Allen, Adam Lehmann and Michael Payne the Swans best.

Caramut had a 40-point win in the under 16.5s.

Spurs Lynch with three goals and Finneaus Dennis with two led the way in the Swans’ 9.9.63 to 3.5.23 win.

Carl Lehmann, Henry Delaney and Toby Pearse were best for the second on the ladder Caramut junior team.

Lismore/Derrinallum had a 35-28 win in the A grade netball.

Junior goal shooter Yolie O’Sullivan put through 15 goals for Caramut.

Lismore/Derrinallum also got the points in the B grade game 41-33.

Yolie O’Sullivan scored 26 goals for the Swans in this game.

In C grade, Lismore/Derrinallum had a 29-25 win, with Rachel Hassett top scoring for Caramut with 19 goals.

Lismore/Derrinallum won the 18 and under netball 36-18.

Caramut’s 15 and under team scored a strong 35-7 win.

Yolie O’Sullivan top scored with 25 goals.

Caramut’s undefeated run in the 13 and under netball continued after a 27-6 win.

Payson Walker shot 18 goals for the junior Swans, with Emma Bonner scoring nine.
