They’re back: The Terang Hospital Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting its annual Jazz Afternoon this weekend to raise much-needed funds in support of Terang and Mortlake Health Service.

The Terang Hospital Ladies Auxiliary will bring its Jazz Afternoon to the Terang Bowls Club this Sunday, July 13, from 1pm.

The fundraiser supports the auxiliary in its ongoing efforts to raise vital funds for Terang and Mortlake Health Service (TMHS).

Terang Hospital Ladies Auxiliary secretary Susan Keane said the Hot B-Hines would be back again this year to put on show.

“The Hot B-Hines jazz band will be back for our sixth annual Jazz Afternoon,” she said.

“They’ve always been very popular – they’ve a very easy jazz band to listen to.

“Every member of the band is very talented.

“There will be afternoon tea provided so we’re looking forward to what we expect to be another wonderful event.”

All the money raised through the Jazz Afternoon, as with each event the auxiliary hosts, goes back to TMHS through the purchase of much-needed equipment.

“We’ve been able to support them recently in purchasing a blood fridge to upgrade their equipment and we’ve also help purchase a machine which heightens safety during operations which require anaesthesia,” Mrs Keane said.

Tickets for the Jazz Afternoon can be purchased from the Josie Black Day Centre for $25.
