Talented netballers shine

THE senior girls’ netball side from St Patrick’s Camperdown has performed exceptionally well at the recent Greater Western Region netball tournament.

The girls travelled to Ballarat last Friday where they faced some strong opposition.

Despite some initial nerves, the girls finished the day with some strong scores from the five games played.

Their first match, against St Francis Xavier, ended in a draw.

They then defeated St Patrick’s St Arnaud before going on to win against Horsham and Ballarat Grammar.

Their final game saw them go down to St Mary’s Colac.

The team was coached by staff member Lisa Unwin, who was assisted by former student and now Australian men’s netball squad member, Aidan Conheady who provided valuable advice and feedback to the team throughout the day.
