Tebble wins monthly medal

LUKE Tebble has taken out the July monthly medal at the Terang Golf Club.


Tebble (15 handicap) won the event with a nett score of 67 (gross 82), with Terry Coolahan the runner-up on 73/93.

Down the line: Billy Wood (17) 74/91, Chris Coolahan (19) 74/93, Liam Venn (8) 75/83 and Nigel Bruckner (6) 77/83.

Nearest the pins: 6th Shaun Maxfield and 11th Gary Huebner.

The putting was won by Billy Wood with 26 putts.

Next Saturday will be stableford all day and Sunday will be either a nine hole or 18 hole stableford from 10.30am.

Thirteen players competed in the monthly medal and putting competition at the Terang Golf Club last Thursday.

The winner was Judy Carmody with an excellent score of 90-19-71, followed by Jenny Meade with 92-15-77.

Balls down the line went to Marion Venn (nett 78) and Aileen Clarke (nett 78).

Nearest the pins: 3rd Aileen Clarke, 6th Margie Driscoll, 9th from off the green Kerrie Cakebread and 11th Elaine Hrabar.

Sixteen players competed in the all day stableford competition, with Fred Beasley winning with a score of 35 points.

The runner-up was Nigel Bruckner on 34 on a countback from Chris Coolahan on 34.

Balls down the line went to Chris Coolahan 34, Caleb Kavanagh 33 and Bernie Kenna 33.

Nearest the pins: 3rd Ethan Wyss and 6th Caleb Kavanagh.

Three players competed in the nine-hole all day stableford, with Will Kenna the winner on 18 points.

Next week will see the start of the women’s competition from 9.30am to 10.30am.

Anyone wanting to start earlier will need to arrange someone to play with, and the same applies to those wanting to play at a later time.

The all-day 18 and nine hole competitions will be stableford.
