Third loss for Bloods

TERANG Mortlake’s senior footballers have suffered a third loss for season 2025, going down 14.14.98 to 9.13.67 to South Warrnambool at the Terang Recreation Reserve.

The Roosters skipped out to a 25-point lead at quarter time after a five goal to one first quarter and maintained a strong lead throughout the rest of the game.

Coach Lewy Taylor, midfielder Ryley Hutchins and teenager Charlie Kenna kicked two goals each for the Bloods.

Sam Crawley, William Moloney and Jack Fowler were named as Terang Mortlake’s best.

South Warrnambool was also too strong in the reserves, winning 17.7.109 to 4.6.30, with Jake Crawley and Toby Harris best for Terang Mortlake.

The Roosters also had a big win in the under 18s, 13.19.97 to 1.7.13, Jesse Fowler and Max Heffernan best for the Bloods.

In the under 16s on Sunday, South Warrnambool had a strong 69 point win, 14.12.96 to 4.3.27.

Samuel Lillico and Caleb Bamford were the best for the Bloods.

South Warrnambool had a 73 point win in the under 14 game, 11.11.77 to 0.4.4.

Liam Kenna, Rupert Vaughan and Paddy Meade were the best players for Terang Mortlake.

South Warrnambool also took the points in the under 12s, 8.7.55 to 4.1.25, Darcy Meade and Keian Guerrero best for the junior Bloods.

In open netball, South Warrnambool got out to a strong early lead and held on for a confident 67-33 victory.

Ava Grundy, Mahni Johnstone and Emma Lucas were Terang Mortlake’s best, with Eboni Knights scoring 21 goals.

The division one netball saw South Warrnambool win 34-23, with Claudia Lee and Lila Bennett best for Terang Mortlake with Leah Perkins shooting 12 goals.

South Warrnambool got the points in the division two game, 43-31.

Jessica Bell led the scorers for Terang Mortlake with 16 goals while Ashleigh Hunger and Tori Kitschke were best for the Bloods.

South Warrnambool celebrated a 47-27 win in division three.

Emma Keogh scored 13 goals and Ava Nolan 12 for the Bloods, with Hannah Delaney and Bella Chow named best players.

It was a 31-25 victory to South Warrnambool in the 17 and under netball.

Pippa Barr and Lara Clarke were named best for the Bloods, with Clarke top scoring with 13 goals.

South Warrnambool had a 34-13 win in the 17 and under reserves.

Isla Primrose top scored for the Bloods with 10 goals and was named best player.

South Warrnambool took out the 15 and under netball 28-25.

Zoe Hill and Sadie Baker were best for Terang Mortlake, with Baker scoring 11 goals.

The Roosters won the 15 and under reserves 37-16.

Tahnee Sachs, Tiah Moloney and Lucia Clarke were best for the Bloods.

South Warrnambool had a 27-12 win in the 13 and under game, Matilda Conheady best for Terang Mortlake with Annabelle Blackford scoring eight goals.

South Warrnambool won the 13 and under reserves 21-5.

Beth Heffernan was named best for Terang Mortlake.
