V/Line performance continues to surge
TRAINS on the Warrnambool Line were the best performing across the entire V/Line network last month as performance continues to soar following the introduction of the new VLocity trains.

In July, the Warrnambool Line recorded 99.3 per cent reliability, exceeding the 96 per cent monthly reliability target.
The result was the highest reliability performance result recorded across the V/Line network for the month.
Only two services were cancelled in July, both due to an emergency services request following a fire in North Melbourne on the afternoon of July 9.
The punctuality target was also exceeded for July, with 92.8 per cent of services arriving at their destination on time – exceeding the 92 per cent monthly punctuality target.
A V/Line spokesperson said July marked the fifth consecutive month, and the sixth time in 2025, the Warrnambool Line has reached both the punctuality and reliability monthly targets.
“The Warrnambool Line was the best performing line on the network in July, exceeding both the reliability and punctuality targets for the fifth consecutive month, as passengers continue to take advantage of the five daily return services,” the spokesperson said.
“From almost 300 trains delivered on the Warrnambool Line for the month, only two were cancelled and both related to an emergency services request on July 9.”
Passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and make a reservation in advance by booking online, at a staffed V/Line or premium Metro station, by calling 1800 800 007 or by visiting a retail ticket agent.
