Solid last round win at home
KOLORA-NOORAT’S senior footballers have finished off the 2025 season with a 52 point win over Dennington at the Noorat Recreation Reserve.

The 15.7.97 to 6.9.45 win sees the Power finish the season seventh on the ladder, two wins out of the top five.
“It was a good solid win, it's always good to finish the season on a strong note” outgoing Kolora-Noorat coach Sam Uwland said.
The Power unveiled their latest debutante, with under 15 player Leo Beasley playing his first senior game, lining up with older brothers Fred and George.
“Leo kicked the first goal of the game and played pretty well, it was a good opportunity for him” Uwland said.
“We’d been talking about bringing him in for a little while now despite his age.”
The Power made sure both older Beasley brothers played a big part in Leo's debut.
“We got Fred to tell him on Thursday night that he'd be playing, while George presented his jumper to him on Saturday.
“I'm sure it's something the brothers and the Beasley family will cherish forever.”
Nick Castersen was best for the Power in the win.
“Nick has been playing some really good footy, he’s been getting a bit more midfield time, and kicked a couple of good goals.
“His second and third efforts and his attack on the ball are really strong."
Defenders Jack Carlin and Joel Dillon were also in the best for Kolora-Noorat.
“Jack took a heap of contested marks down back, while Joel set us up well coming out of the backline.”
Uwland liked the game of Louis Cahill, who kicked four goals.
“We played Louis up forward in the last half to give others some midfield time.
“He managed to get on the end of a few and was dangerous up forward.”
Kolora-Noorat had a 27 point win in the reserves football, 11.5.71 to 7.2.44.
Alex Martin, Paul McSween and Craig King were the Power’s best in the win, with McSween and Riley Scanlon kicking three goals each.
The Power reserves finish the 2025 season in seventh place.
Kolora-Noorat had a 7.8.50 to 2.4.16 win in the under 18 football.
Ted Kenna, Eitan Brooks, Levi Cootesmith and Ben Whytcross were best for the Power, with Oscar Ritchie kicking three goals and Brooks two.
The under 18s finished third on the league ladder and will now face South Rovers in this Saturday’s qualifying final.
In the under 15 football, Dennington registered a 12.12.84 to 2.1.13 win.
Archie Curran, Eli Chant and Jake Arklay were best for the Power, with Curran and Leo Beasley kicking a goal each.
The under 15 Power finished the season in sixth position.
In the under 13s, Dennington was too strong, scoring a 13.16.94 to 0.1.1 win.
Hamish Messer, Braxton Sachs and Jack Menz were best for the junior Power.
In the A grade netball, Dennington was too strong, winning 64-44.
“Dennington are a very competitive and experienced team and should go deep into the finals,” Kolora-Noorat coach Lillie Bourke said.
The visitors led by six goals at half-time before getting right on top in the second half.
“It was a really good contest in the first half before they got away from us,” Bourke said.
“The game did feel a lot closer though than what the final scoreline showed.”
Nellie Sadler was best for the Power in the loss.
“Nellie played her best game of the season,” Bourke said.
“As goal defence she stood up and played her role really well.”
Mayci Dwyer and Molly Bourke were also in the best for Kolora-Noorat.
“Mayci was fantastic in her third A grade game, she was really solid playing wing defence and put extra pressure on their attack.
“Molly led the way with her maturity, she guided the young players well.”
Goal shooter Courtney Garner scored a match high 33 goals.
“Courtney has really hit her straps and has had such a consistent season.”
Bourke was positive in her assessment of the season from the A grade Power.
“It was a really solid season from a new look team, we only had four returning from last year.
“They’re a really good cohort of girls to coach, we had lots of youth with five players 18 and under, the club is in good stead going forward.”
Kolora-Noorat had a 36-27 win in the A reserve netball.
Grace Lee scored 14 goals and Hayley Collins 12, with Steph Jenkins, Taleah Murfett and Lee best for the Power.
The B grade game saw Kolora-Noorat record a 26-20 win.
